Home, sweet, home-ish!

I'll be heading to Tottori prefecture!! Though still no word on which city/town/village I'm headed to. It's on the southern part of the main island (Kyoto's only a bullet train ride away!), and therefore is NOT Hokkaido. Woot. I'm just not built for that level of holy-crap-it's-cold-here. Apparently it also has some sand dunes, so I guess they thought they'd send the desert rat to the desert. Fair enough. :)

All the cool kids have a Blogger blog

I decided to create this blog to hopefully post about my life in Japan. I just found out I was accepted to the JET program, and now I have a heap of very intimidating paperwork to complete. I was going to make this blog earlier, like in November when I applied, but I figured that would be jumping the gun just a bit too much. So, I waited until I was officially accepted. If I manage to get the paperwork in on time (thus NOT screwing myself), I will probably be placed in a school in Japan. If I happen to not go for whatever reason, then this blog will never see the harsh light of day. Ha HAH! I have thought of everything.

I guess I'll be getting back to my incomprehensible IRS forms, and FBI criminal background check hooplah.
